Mr. Ellerin explains how child support is calculated in the State of Florida.
Child support in Florida is based around Florida statute 61.30. It establishes the calculations that are going to occur for child support, because there are certain calculations that are utilized. It's the party's incomes that ultimately control what child support is going to be. Now, as with anything in the law there are many different things that can factor in that can have an effect on what your child support obligation is going to be. This is something we would need to discuss in further detail so that we can advise you on your exposure or what your entitlement to child support would be. |
