Zsa Zsa Gabor Favors Divorce Over Legal Separation
Posted By Ellerin Hutchinson

During an interview, the nine times married Zsa Zsa Gabor said that she favored divorce over legal separation. When asked why she favored divorce she told the interviewer, "legal separation gives the husband time to hide his money."

Gabor has been married nine times and in June while she was watching TV show "Jeopardy", it is reported that she fell out of her bed and suffered an injury. She told news sources that she favored divorce with her former partners rather than dragging out their split by legally separating first.

The Hungarian actress, who is 93 years old, was given her last rights in the hospital yesterday at her own request. It is reported that she has been married to her ninth husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt since 1986.

The actress once joked, "I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man I keep his house."  She had become infamous for her one-liners throughout her acting career.

Runaway Mom Going through Legal Separation
Posted By Ellerin Hutchinson

News sources are reporting that David Tehan has filed for legal separation from his wife, Tiffany Tehan.  David is also seeking permanent child custody of their daughter Alexis, who is one year old.

David filed legal paperwork on May 7th and Tiffany was served on May 14th.  In the paperwork, David says that Tiffany, "has been guilty of gross neglect of duty and the parties are incompatible."

On April 17th, Tiffany disappeared while going on a shopping trip.  Her disappearance resulted in a national search involving the FBI.  31 year old Tiffany was later found with another person and told news sources that she left to start a new life with this other person.  However, she started to miss her daughter so she came back.

At this time, David Tehan was granted a temporary restraining order which will prevent Tiffany from taking their daughter from the state of Ohio.

Edwards’ Infidelity Leads to Legal Separation
Posted By Ellerin Hutchinson

Former Presidential Candidate John Edwards and his wife Elizabeth have legally separated after more than 30 years of marriage.

The couple’s separation comes after months of controversy. John admitted to having an affair with a Rielle Hunter, a videographer whom he worked with before the start of his second presidential campaign. Then when Hunter claimed John was the father of her child, John repeatedly denied his paternity. It was only last week that John finally admitted he was the father of Hunter’s daughter.

This is not the first hardship to hit the Edwards, although it is the one to break their marriage. In 2007 Elizabeth learned her cancer had returned, which is now in stage four and has been diagnosed as incurable. And in 1996 John and Elizabeth lost their oldest son Wade after he was killed in a car accident.

The couple’s separation also coincides with the release of a book by John’s longtime, now former aide Andrew Young.  In his book, Young claims John asked him to lie about the fact that he fathered a child with Hunter.

Neither Elizabeth nor John has made any public statements regarding their separation.  Elizabeth says the claims Young makes in his book are false and exaggerated.

The Edwards filed for separation in North Carolina, where the divorce law states that a couple must legally separate for 12 months before they can file for divorce.

Divorce & Separations in Florida

There are no legal separations in the state of Florida. This does not mean you and your spouse cannot separate and spend some time apart before filing for divorce. You can also file a separation agreement that details your property rights and addresses such issues as alimony, child support, and child custody
