Several Domestic Violence Cases Being Followed by Florida Media

Domestic violence cases are filling the dockets already of Orange County, Florida. The latest case in the news involves the double murder of an estranged wife and her boyfriend. According to reports, a man known as E.I. has been accused of killing his estranged wife and her new lover. Although he appeared to be emotionless when a translator read the charges against him during his trial, he started to cry when his attorney talked about his failed marriage and the loss of his business. The defense strategy so far has been to admit to the killings, but to ask the jury to convict the client on manslaughter charges, not first-degree murder.
There are six more cases involving domestic violence on the docket in Florida. One of these cases involves a man dousing his girlfriend with gasoline before setting her on fire. Another case involves a woman who shot her boyfriend during an argument.
