Vanessa and Kobe Bryant decided to end their marriage in December, 2011, after drama and Kobe's alleged rape of another woman drove them apart. But now, according to Fox News Latino, the couple is reconsidering their choice to split, and may even reconcile. When LA Laker Kobe Bryant cheated on his wife, she was furious. During the divorce proceedings it is reported that she obtained all three of her husband's mansions, which are worth close to $18.8 million. Even with a fortune in her grasp, Vanessa can't seem to sign the divorce papers. Sources say that the couple is trying to reconcile their differences and has been spending a lot of time together. They have not moved back into the same residence, but seem bent on forgiving and forgetting the past.
According to the California laws which are active where the couple lives, Bryant has to wait six months after filing the divorce to sign the documents and officially dissolve the marriage. Here in Jacksonville, to obtain an absolute divorce from a voluntary dissolution, you need to spend 12 months apart without any cohabitation or sexual intercourse. These waiting periods help couples to determine whether or not they are making the right decision. In this case, it seems that the waiting period is helping the celebrity couple to reconsider. If the divorce does go through, Vanessa could end up with up to $75 million in property division assets and even more in child support.
Yet the beautiful woman may be willing to hand all of her assets back into Kobe's hands in order to resolve their marriage.
