Mena Suvari's Lawyer Announces Her Divorce

Several media outlets have reported that actress Mena Suvari is seeking a divorce. The actress is wed to producer Simon Sestito and they have been married for eighteen months. Recently, Suvari's attorney told reporters that the actress filed her petition for divorce in January with the Los Angeles County Court. In her paperwork, the actress said she is seeking to terminate her marriage due to irreconcilable differences. She also stated that she does not want to pay alimony to her husband and says that their date of separation was November 1, 2011.

The couple married back in June of 2010 during a very private ceremony. They do not have any children together. This will be the actress' second divorce as she was married to Robert Brinkman and then terminated that marriage in 2005.
