Two Men Say They are Father of Child with Murdered Mother
A triple murder has left a young boy without a mother. Two men have come forward claiming to be the boy's father and a judge now has to determine to whom to grant child custody. The 11-month-old boy is staying at a foster home until police can determine who the father is and whether the boy is in danger. He was found unharmed at a triple homicide last week where his mother, 21-year-old O.B., was murdered. There were two more victims: N.P., 25, her roommate; and C.S. Jr., the roommate's 6-year-old son. At this time, police are still investigating the murder.
Two men have come forward to claim paternity of the child. One of the men, L.B., is listed on the child's birth certificate and has been identified by state officials as the father. However, a second man, T.M., is also claiming custody of the child. He has not made any child support payments nor did he live with the young boy. To clear up the paternity issue, a judge has ordered a DNA test to be conducted on both men. Do you have concerns related to paternity in Florida?
