Divorce Gone Wrong: Both End Up Dead

Couples that are dealing with problems often file for a divorce as a means to get out of the relationship. Perhaps they disagree on everything, or one of the spouses cheated, or they just don’t love each other anymore; whatever the case may be, divorces happen. Stories often tell of couples that over time have worked on their relationships and are now civil with one another or have even come to be friends again. Getting to this place of reconciliation may take time for some, but it is entirely possible and beneficial if children are involved.

There are instances in which the happily ever after isn’t the case, though in most of the sad tales, it is just one spouse that receives the unfortunate end of the deal. This wasn’t exactly the case for a divorced couple living in Gwinnett County. Apparently, even though this couple was divorced they continued to still live together, until one night they both ended up dead in their homes. It is believed that this tragic event was a murder suicide. The couple had three older children, and it appears that they chose to remain in the same home for their sakes, though it is still unknown as to whether the children witnessed these crimes or not. There had been multiple reports of domestic violence disputes in their home, which the police had received from neighbors.

Domestic violence is a scary thing to deal with and in many circumstances when left alone, can result to deadly ends. It is unknown as to which spouse is responsible for the murder suicide, though it is a reasonable suspicion that it stemmed from a long history of confrontations within the home. If you or someone you know is dealing with any form of domestic violence and wants to divorce or find other ways to charge the spouse, contact Ellerin Hutchinson today. You deserve safety, and we want to come alongside you in this hard time and fight for you!
