Astronaut Announces Relationship with New Girlfriend

After ending his marriage of 23 years, you would think that a former astronaut would try to keep a low profile. However, he decided instead to follow up his messy divorce with a public announcement about this current girlfriend.

None too pleased about his new lover, who is thirty years younger than him, the ex-wife has started calling her a predator. The lucky woman met the astronaut in 2009 when he was promoting his then-new book. As the former senior event marketing manager for a major bookstore, the two were introduced and sparks reportedly flew that night. Even though he just filed for divorce this past June, his wife told the press recently that she believes the two have been dating for at least one year.

While a divorce naturally affects any children of a marriage, this divorce was especially difficult for their daughter. She runs the company that promotes her father's image and she was none too pleased at his decision to leave her mother.
