Football Player Accused of Failure to Pay
A former football player was recently wanted by police after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest. Just a week later, the warrant has been rescinded by the court. The big question now is - why?
Although that question has yet to be answered, it is known why the athlete was slapped with a warrant in the first place. He has been charged with failure to make child support payments. Since he fathered several children with different women, it could be easy for some people to see where the confusion comes in.
However, the player recently petitioned the court to get reduced payments. He stated that since he is no longer employed due to a recent injury, he has been unable to make his payments. Although he recently told a judge that he is completely impoverished, the media learned that he did pay off one of the women. It is not certain where he obtained the money but that might be why the judge dropped the warrant.
