Mother with Cancer Faces Child Custody Battle
Not only is a woman in North Carolina suffering from terminal breast cancer, she is now battling for child custody as well.
The most recent court hearing in North Carolina granted full custody of Aliana Giordano's two children to their father, Kane Snyder, who lives in Chicago. Naming Giordano's ill health as the primary reason for his decision, the judge ruled that Giordano was simply unfit at this time to be the custodial parent. She will now be allowed to see her children only on weekends and holidays.
Absolutely dismayed by the verdict, Giordano pleaded with the judge, arguing that she is completely functional and wants to live life fully with her children.
