Man Kills Wife and then Himself after Domestic Violence Spat
Just two days after being arrested on charges of domestic violence, Louis Vasquez killed his wife and then himself in central Florida.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Vasquez was discovered by officers standing on the median of State Road 46, where he had just punched his wife and threatened to shoot her. After witnessing the scene of domestic violence, a passerby stopped to help and protect Linda Vasquez, 22, from her husband.
He was taken into custody and released the next day; however, Vasquez was told to stay away from his wife and their house. Tragedy struck the next day when officers received a call that Vasquez had tracked his wife down at her mother's house and, after following Linda to her car, shot her. He then pulled the trigger on himself.
