Easter Sunday Results in Domestic Dispute
Easter Sunday was nearly tragic for one family where the father has since been charged with domestic violence.
According to police reports, Tuan Dao, 37, became seriously irate towards his wife, threatening her and even throwing an iron at her. The cause of his anger? A dirty house, apparently. His wife, Lori, complained that he had become violent towards her in front of their 6-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter; it was the daughter who eventually called the police.
When Dao showed up in court two days later, Dao appeared confused about his circumstances. When the judge ordered him to stay away from his wife, Dao said that "I share everything with my wife. I have to contact her, to the bank, for financial information and we take care of six kids [...] I don't understand what happened here."
He now faces two counts of reckless endangerment and domestic violence. He later burned down his own home, killing himself and five out of six of his children.
