Oksana Grigorieva May Be Charged with Extortion
According to TMZ the extortion case involving Mel Gibson and former-fiancee Oksana Grigorieva will now be handled by the Los Angeles County District Attorney. As of noon today the case file was turned over to the D.A.'s office.
In an unexpected turn of events it is now possible that Grigorieva could be charged with a crime. When she signed a $15 million deal with Gibson last year she agreed to not release the audio tapes bearing Gibson's angry rants. The actor agreed to pay her $15 million a house, child support and other assets in return for her silence.
However, even though Grigorieva signed the document during child custody mediation in May of last year, she later rejected the agreement.
