Frank McCourt Testifies during Divorce Trial

In Los Angeles, Frank McCourt is expected to continue testifying in his divorce trial which will decide whether he has to share ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers with his soon-to-be ex-wife.

The trial is scheduled to begin again this Wednesday morning.

Last Tuesday, McCourt spent 45 minutes on the stand and stated that it was his wife's idea to create a postnuptial marital agreement that would protect her assets from all of his creditors.  Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon will have to decide if the agreement is valid.

During the trial, McCourt said that the agreement gives him sole ownership of the franchise while Jamie McCourt, the former CEO of the Dodgers, believes the agreement should be thrown out.  She also believes that the stadium and surrounding property should be divided equally under California's community property law.
