Christie Brinkley Speaks About Divorce

Unlike other stars who rush back into finding love after divorce, Christie Brinkley has gone two years so far without actively perusing the market. She cites always having her children with her as one reason why people may not approach her romantically, also that "you never know if someone is talking to you because you're a celebrity. It's not my number one priority."

At this time she has given priority to being a mother which she claims has always been a part of her life plan. She has three children - Alexa Ray, 25, Jack, 15, and Sailor, 12. Brinkley claims that her work schedule allows her to be a better mom that "it gives me a little door to step out of my parenting and bring the excitement from that day back home."

Although her divorce from ex-husband Peter Cook was extremely painful, she was able to get through this period by keeping laughter in her life.
